Tom Baker – Saxophones, Vocals, Percussion, Composer
Tom organized the first session of The Faker Five which eventually led to “Pass The Hat” The Faker Five’s first CD release, featuring original tunes by Tom entitled Pass The Hat and Faker’s Blues. Tom's unique Sax sound, both in live and recorded situations, reaches out and pulls the listener in.. Tom's soul and melody makes people want to hear more, helping set the Faker Five apart from other performers on the circuit. Tom also performs with Greg in the Greg DeTroy/Tom Baker Duo and with The Romero Brothers.

John Cain – Guitar, Vocals, Percussion, Composer
John has been performing in Fairfield County for over 35 years. John is an excellent composer and has contributed many songs to The Faker Five including Song For Erin on Pass The Hat. Not only is John a great Guitarist, but his vocal skills offer an authentic Blues sound that greatly adds to The Faker Five's musical quality and integrity. He has also released many CD’s including Natural High’s Within Reach, as well as his solo CD’s entitled MUSE and the most recently released critically acclaimed, Songs For Peace, Vols I & II. John also has his own band John Cain & The Blues Busters which just released a live CD entitled Live At Seaside Tavern and performs with The Romero Brothers. Greg Detroy – Keyboards, Vocals, Composer
Greg anchors the unique sound of The Faker Five with his highly expressive Hammond B3, Piano and Keyboard soloing. Greg contributes original compositions and a unique soulful blues vocal style that adds integrity and another dimension to the Faker Five sound. In addition Greg is featured as a solo piano player at many of the area’s Jazz clubs, and leads a Gospel Choir that he has been with for many years. Greg performs with Tom in The Greg DeTroy/Tom Baker Duo around the New York metropolitan area as well as with The Romero Brothers.

Vince Sette – Bass, Vocals
Vinny is a rock-solid bass player who lays down the groove that makes The Faker Five so strong. Vinny also plays in the popular classic rock band, Magic Bus and John Cain & The Blues Busters. Before starting a family, Vinny had a successful career as an LA session musician, playing with popular LA bands such as Foxfire, Savannah and The Santamonicats.

Steve Townsend – Drums, Percussion
Steve's Mom claims he was in diapers rolling around the kitchen floor banging on a pan with a wooden spoon before he could walk! Not much has changed....Steve has played with various Rock, Jazz and Blues bands for over 30 years including The Romero Brothers and John Cain & The Blues Busters. Steve has recorded two CD’s with The Romero Brothers, one with The Blues Busters and of course the two Faker Five CD’s.
